England Select 15 Uncapped Players For Tour Of Argentina

England Name Squad For Argentina Tour

Six Nations champions England have selected 15-uncapped players for their tour of Argentina this summer, where they face the Pumas in two Test Matches.

With 16 of his frontline players away with the British Lions, England Head Coach Eddie Jones has decided to hand an opportunity to some of the brightest talents in the country. Dylan Hartley will continue the side after missing out on Lions selection, while Chris Robshaw returns to the squad after missing the entire Six Nations campaign.

One of the most eye-catching inclusions in the squad is Sale Sharks winger Denny Solomona. The New Zealand born flyer made a highly controversial switch from Rugby League earlier in the season after scoring a record 40-tries for the Castleford Tigers.

His switch to Rugby Union has been seamless and has already scored nine tries for the Sharks. He is joined by fellow Sale stars Sam James and Ben & Tom Curry, the twin brothers could make their debuts at just 18-years-old.

Sam Underhill is another young gun who England rugby fans will be excited to see. The 20-year-old s regarded as one of the country’s finest talents and Jones will surely be desperate to see what he can do on the biggest stage.

Jones spoke of the squad at a press conference saying: "You miss out on a Lions tour and you get an England tour - it's not a bad second prize.

"If I can develop three or four of these guys to be better than the Lions guys, it will be a successful tour.

"It's going to be a tough tour, but my job is to improve the squad. It's a great opportunity where we can bring a bunch of young, enthusiastic and potentially good players into the squad at one time."
