The home of jump racing was officially opened thanks to Princess Anne herself. The Princess Royal Grandstand was named especially for her.

This new addition to the Cheltenham Racecourse took 19 months but it is safe to say it was worth the wait. The stand gives racegoers the opportunity to enjoy all new bars and viewing facilities. That’s not to mention the new royal box adding an element of majesty to the proceedings.

The numerous floors of the new stand at Cheltenham Racecourse is filled to the brim with entertainment and hospitality. Entering from the ground, you are greeted with the Vestey Bar - named after Lord Vestey who was chairman of Cheltenham for 21 years. Let’s not forget a new bistro feature providing hot food. Moving upwards, the first floor of the new stand provides a bar for Annual Members. Also on the first floor is the Big Buck’s Champagne Bar, named after the horse that won an unparalleled four Stayers Hurdles.

Going further, the second floor consists of an Owners & Trainers Bar, with a balcony giving a perfect view of the surrounding course area plus the exclusive Cotswolds Club. The third floor delivers The Royal Box and 11 private boxes – for those wishing to have a full VIP experience.

Finally, the top floor gives you The Cheltenham Club. Members are allocated a table for the National Hunt season, from which to enjoy a four course, lunch and sensational views of the surrounding hills. There is a reason why Cheltenham Racecourse is so popular.

The plentiful hospitality facilities give thousands of people each year the chance to have a day of constant entertainment. All centring around the Cheltenham Festival, here is a racecourse to make you feel right at home.
